Carocell Bio are focused on reducing over-activation of the intracellular inflammatory cascade with the aim to reduce the release of inflammatory cytokines, and other inflammatory molecules, and so ease inflammation.
Carocell Bio’s therapeutic pipeline consists of a number of short proteins (“peptides”) that are highly selective for mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK, p38α), an important component in the intracellular inflammation cascade. Formulated with nanoparticle delivery systems to enhance cell penetration, they are designed for topical delivery.
Our lead product is a novel treatment to prevent/reduce post-operative scar formation.
